\u00a0In accordance with our <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.rootsmagic.com\/?p=1195\" target=\"_blank\">annual tradition<\/a>\u00a0here at RootsMagic, we&#8217;d like to look back on this past year and review some of our accomplishments with you, our users. \u00a0And don&#8217;t forget to check back on Tuesday as we present our 2013 New Years&#8217; Resolutions with a peek at our plans for the coming year.\u00a0 But until then, let&#8217;s turn the calendar back to January 2012.<\/p>\n<h2>Free Online Classes (Webinars)<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.rootsmagic.com\/webinars\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1219  aligncenter\" title=\"RootsMagic Webinars\" src=\"http:\/\/blog.rootsmagic.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/RM-Webinars-Poster-Small.jpg\" alt=\"RootsMagic Webinars\" width=\"400\" height=\"500\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Over the past two years, we have pioneered the use of &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.rootsmagic.com\/webinars\" target=\"_blank\">webinars<\/a>&#8220;, or free online classes, to help our users get the most out of our software. \u00a0We&#8217;ve offered over 40 classes spanning over 40 hours of instruction to answer your questions and to teach you all the ins-and-outs of our software. \u00a0In 2012 alone, our webinars have been viewed and downloaded hundreds of thousands of times from users in nearly every country on the globe.<\/p>\n<p>And don&#8217;t forget, \u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.rootsmagic.com\/webinars\" target=\"_blank\">all of our webinars are archived and still available, free of charge<\/a>. \u00a0If you haven&#8217;t already watched one of our webinars, what are you waiting for? \u00a0Just pick a webinar on a topic that you&#8217;ve been curious about and watch it today! \u00a0No other genealogy software comes close to providing the level of support and training that we do.<\/p>\n<h2>Conferences, Contests &amp; Sponsorships<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/blog.rootsmagic.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/RootsTech-Treasure-Hunt-Banner.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-1265\" title=\"RootsTech-Treasure-Hunt-Banner\" src=\"http:\/\/blog.rootsmagic.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/RootsTech-Treasure-Hunt-Banner.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"360\" height=\"210\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This year brought the usual conference travel, but this time we wanted to give back a little to the genealogy community that has given us so much. \u00a0First, at the RootsTech conference in February, we gave away two iPads in the <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.rootsmagic.com\/?p=1264\" target=\"_blank\">RootsMagic 2012 RootsTech Treasure Hunt<\/a>. \u00a0It was a lot of fun and brought some well-deserved attention to bloggers in our genealogy community.<\/p>\n<p>In May we sponsored\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ngsgenealogy.org\/cs\/youth_camp\" target=\"_blank\">Genealogy Youth Kamp<\/a>\u00a0at the NGS Conference in Cincinnati. \u00a0Youth Kamp was designed to\u00a0assist children between the ages of 8 and 16 with gaining an\u00a0appreciation of and connection to their ancestry. \u00a0To aid in this, parents, grandparents, or other adults were encouraged to attend and participate in Youth Kamp along with the children.<\/p>\n<p>We were pleased to again sponsor the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.genealogyjamboree.com\" target=\"_blank\">Southern California Genealogical Society&#8217;s Annual Genealogy Jamboree<\/a> in June. \u00a0The red carpet theme was a lot of fun and we were happy to contribute deluxe badge holders to all attendees.<\/p>\n<p>And at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fgs.org\" target=\"_blank\">Federation of Genealogical Societies<\/a> conference in Birmingham, Alabama we sponsored the RootsMagic Cyber Cafe, the place to hang out, go online, charge a device, or print those syllabus pages you needed.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/blog.rootsmagic.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/DianaPhotoBooth-2.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-1550\" title=\"Photo Booth\" src=\"http:\/\/blog.rootsmagic.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/DianaPhotoBooth-2-300x223.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"223\" srcset=\"http:\/\/blog.rootsmagic.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/DianaPhotoBooth-2-300x223.jpg 300w, http:\/\/blog.rootsmagic.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/DianaPhotoBooth-2.jpg 640w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>In August, we sponsored an old-fashioned photo booth at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.infouga.org\" target=\"_blank\">Utah Genealogy Association&#8217;s Fall Conference<\/a>. \u00a0It was a unique event that provided genealogy activities and games geared for the entire family.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/blog.rootsmagic.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/Harms.Rick_.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-1443\" title=\" Christmas Tires by Rick D.
