This update adds several requested features and fixes a number of issues. If you have the RootsMagic News screen come up when you start RootsMagic, it may have already notified you of this update. If not, you can do “Help > Check for Updates” from the RootsMagic menu to download and install this update. Note: We updated the list below to include a few issues we fixed in the 4.0.9.9 update.
You can also download the update from http://www.rootsmagic.com/updates/rootsmagic.
Here are the new, fixed, and updated items in this update:

I like the “Last Editd” date in the People view.
Thanks for the great work.
I really like the RootsMagic program because it’s so interactive with New Family Search. Thanks for fixing all the problems.
I love this program and it’s ability to connect with the New Family Search. Will it be updated to include imports from Family Tree Maker 2011?
Keep up the great work!!!
When I updated to 4.0.9.9, an error message asking for a timeout appeared during the download. I didn’t know what that meant and there appeared to be nothing I could do to “fix” the problem, so I clicked on the button to comply with the request. It then continued to download. This happened three times before the download was completed. Installation appeared to proceed normally. May I assume that verson 4.0.9.9 has successfully been downloaded and installed? P.S. I checked “Allow comment box to float next to comments” above, even though I don’t know what that means. P.P.S. I really enjoy using Roots Magic and have gotten excellent phone support over the years – thanks!
I just wanted to say thank you for this great program. I like the features it has and I can’t think of any other program I’d rather use.
When I download the latest update (for example 4.0.9.9) Does that automatically include any updates I may have missed??
Yes, each new update contains any previous updates.
David, Do Help > About from the RootsMagic menu and it will show the exact version number. If it shows 4.0.9.9 that means the upgrade took.
I have been using RM since back at FO#2 and have over 24 years used at least 5 different programs on computers, RootsMagic keeps getting better all the time. Would not think of using any other program, ever. Keep up the good work.
Thanks for posting the comments of others on updating more than one version with the most recent version. That was exactly my question.
I enjoy this software very much especially the line to newfamilysearch.
