New Year’s Resolutions for 2013

Happy New Year!  With 2012 behind us, let’s look ahead to the new year and some of our goals and resolutions for 2013.

New Devices

Android Coming Soon

2012 saw us expand new platforms and devices including our My RootsMagic online publishing and RootsMagic for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.  Like you, we know how important it is to have your information where and when you want it.  We’ll continue branching out in 2013 to more devices and platforms, including our app for Android devices (coming soon) and enhancements to existing services.  Be sure to watch this blog and our newsletter for official future announcements.

New Products

Glowing Box

In addition to new platforms and new devices, our secret underground laboratories are hard at work developing new ideas and products to support our mission to create “software to unite families”.  Again, the best way to learn about these new products and when they are released is by watching this blog and our newsletter for official announcements.

New Webinars

RootsMagic Webinars

Our free online classes (webinars) have been viewed and downloaded hundreds of thousands of times by users from almost every country in the world.  We are often told how much you love these classes and we’re thrilled to continue bringing them to you in 2013.  Watch for new webinars on the great new features in RootsMagic 6 and Personal Historian 2.  And don’t forget, whether you attend live or watch an archived recording, our webinars are always free.  They’re our gift to you, our users, to help you get the most out of our software.

New Updates

And last but certainly not least, watch for regular updates to all of your software with improvements, fixes, and new features.  Updates can be found by clicking Help > Check for Updates on the main menu of most of our software.

Thank You!

Of course, these resolutions are not a comprehensive list of our plans and goals for 2013. There are many other projects which are in development which we’ll talk about when the time is right.  Keep watching this blog or our e-mail newsletter for announcements.

In the meantime, thank you again for your support. We try very hard to listen to your problems, questions, and suggestions. If there is something that you’d like to see us do, please contact us and let us know.  Happy New Year and may you have a prosperous 2013 (both genealogically and otherwise)!

I’m waiting for the Android version! So far I’ve loved having the RM-to-go when I’m at my local central library looking up details – has saved me so much wasted time digging through paper records! I think I need to go through your webinars again to learn a few more things to implement. Thanks from a very satisfied user!

Congratulations on winning two GeneaAwards! Best product of 2012 and best new product.
Winning a GeneaAward is major feat already, winning both is truly amazing.
Way to go! Keep up the good work!

I must congratulate you on this truly amazing piece of software.

Thank You.

Thank you, Bruce, for your helpful suggestions on RM5 at the FGS Conference in Birmingham. Looking forward to RM6, which I have just ordered. Also, very much appreciate the webinars and the ability to watch at any time.

Since the Parson’s days, you keep coming up with new features. Will you please take a day off so I can get caught up! Something for anyone new that is reading this: Bruce has always been the best to deal with and gives excellent value for the dollar (or euro or pesada or yen, etc).

I have been with this programme since the Family Origin days, and it is getting better all the time.
And now having it on the Mac! Yeah! We travel a lot, and now I only drag one computer around with me.
Great progress! Thank you so much. Love the webinars – my family is finally colour coded which makes it so much easier to figure who belongs to whom. THANK YOU!

Some of us are still waiting for the Life Capsule software :)

Nice update!!

i-phone, i-pod, i-pad and etc is nice
but not so useful. We are waiting for an Apple version of RM. I am a family history director and you will be surprised at how many asks for RM for Apple. There is a need that needs to be filled by someone and hopefully Roots Magic will be the one!

Would love a version for linux debian or ubuntu

I am re-starting in Feb 2013. I have been having trouble with my computer and lost all my RootsMagic names. I am now re-starting so I need all the help that I can get. So far so good but It will be a slow start. I have Family Tree, but I also like RootsMagic.
